Keep Greenville County Beautiful was founded in 2008 by Dan Powell, who aimed to help the natural environment in Greenville County through partnerships with other nonprofit organizations. With his vision, KGCB spearheaded the Cigarette Litter Prevention Program, implemented recycling programs in 28 Greenville County Schools and six Greenville County Recreation District Community Centers, and much more.
Today KGCB continues to thrive, working with private companies and businesses to expand their recycling efforts and teaching citizens to beautify our community through events like the Great American Cleanup and various litter pickups throughout the year. KGCB also works with neighborhoods to develop and maintain community gardens, green space, and other community improvements. We are working tirelessly to create a cleaner, more sustainable community - and we thank all of our volunteers and community members who have supported us along the way.
