Litter Task Force
Keep Greenville County Beautiful (KGCB) is the non-profit affiliate to South Carolina PalmettoPride and Keep America Beautiful. KGCB is part of a nationwide effort to inspire and educate people to take action every day to improve and beautify their community. There are three focuses of the KGCB affiliate as determined by Keep America Beautiful. They are litter, recycling, and beautification. Currently, the main focus of KGCB is litter. In order to better serve the area, KGCB has united the government litter stakeholders of Greenville County to formulate common approaches to tackle litter issues.
KGCB also lends support to other non-profit organizations who may engage in litter related activities, such as, Friends of the Reedy River, Lake Conestee Preserve, and Friends of Bald Rock Hertigate Preserve.

The Legacy We Keep
Keep Greenville County Beautiful (KGCB) was founded in 2008 by Dan Powell, who aimed to help the environment in Greenville County through partnerships with other nonprofit organizations.
Powell spent his life in the Carolinas and understood what a beautiful place he was part of. He did not take such beauty lightly and was willing to work hard toward keeping Greenville County beautiful.
Powell lost his battle with Stage 4 lung cancer in November of 2015 at the age 37. His parents, wife, and kids still call the Carolinas home.
KGCB humbly continues his work.
