Executive Director

Summer Gagon

Summer Gagnon is the Litter Prevention Coordinator for Greenville County’s Litter Ends Here program. She has help lead this multifaceted litter program towards the goal of creating a litter-free county. Under her guidance the Litter Ends Here program has removed more than two million pounds of litter from Greenville County since 2017 and supports more than a thousand volunteers each year.  When she isn’t “talking trash” she spends time with family and friends and enjoying the many outdoor spaces Greenville has to offer.

Ayla Fitzpartick

Ayla joined Team Greer in May 2022 as the Community and Media Outreach Coordinator. Prior to this role, she spent nearly a decade in broadcast journalism, most recently as the Weekend Anchor for WSPA 7News. She is originally from Syracuse, NY, and moved to the Upstate about 3 years ago with her husband Shawn and their dog Gatsby. Ayla graduated from Ithaca College with a degree in journalism and recently finished her Master’s in Homeland Security with Tulane University

Justin Campbell

Justin was hired as the Community Relations Specialist for the City of Simpsonville in June 2018. Prior to his current role, Justin was a staff writer at The Seneca Journal and covered local government, crime, education and community issues. As a native of the Upstate who has lived in Anderson, Greenville and Pickens counties, Justin lives in Simpsonville with his wife Meredith, their baby Alexander, brother-in-law and live-in "manny" Mitchell, cat Bella and dog Kesha. Justin graduated from Clemson University with a degree in psychology.

Mark Jeror is a man with many roles within the city, as the Streets and Sidewalk Superintendent he manages crews and oversees the street-sweeping program, the Central Business District clean-up, and the City's litter program. Mark began his career in Public Works in the City of Greenville in 2007. He is a 15-year United States Air Force Veteran. Mark loves spending time with his family, camping, traveling, and enjoying the great outdoors.

Elizabeth Carpenter

Elizabeth Carpenter joined the city as the Neighborhood Services Coordinator in March 2022. Prior to her current role, she worked in the event industry and has a degree in Hospitality Management from the University of South Carolina. Elizabeth is a Greenville native and currently lives in Mauldin.

Phillip joined the City of Travelers Rest in 2017 as the Public Works Director. Prior to that Phillip served with the City of Travelers Rest and the City of Greenville as a firefighter. Phillip grew up in Travelers Rest and currently resides in Tigerville with his wife Debbie and their two daughters Emily and Bailey.

GCSWCD Representative

Chaneen Haler

Chaneen is the Stormwater Programs Coordinator at Greenville County Soil and Water Conservation District. She runs the outreach and educational programs that GCSWCD offers, including the Seed Library, Storm Drain Murals, and k-12 educational outreach. She’s passionate about caring for the land and water and creating inclusivity in the conservation community.  In her free time Chaneen can usually be found outside getting dirt under her fingernails while her dog barks at squirrels.
